The Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY) is a flagship national health protection scheme of the Government of India. It aims to provide cashless access to health services for over 10 crore poor and vulnerable families (approximately 50 crore beneficiaries) for secondary and tertiary care hospitalization. Farmers, particularly those identified based on the Socio-Economic Caste Census (SECC) data, are significant beneficiaries of this scheme.

This scheme provides a health cover of ₹5 lakh per family per year for medical treatment in empaneled public and private hospitals.

📝 How to Get Your Ayushman Card (Application Process)

Since Ayushman Bharat is entitlement-based, there is no direct online application form for all. However, you can check your eligibility and get your Ayushman Card (Golden Card) issued through the following methods:

  1. Step 1: Check Your Eligibility:
    • Visit the official PM-JAY "Am I Eligible" portal: mera.pmjay.gov.in
    • Enter your mobile number and the CAPTCHA code. An OTP will be sent to your mobile.
    • Enter the OTP and select your state.
    • Search by your name, Aadhaar number, Ration Card number, or HHD (Household ID) number.
    • The system will indicate if you are eligible.
  2. Step 2: Visit a Common Service Center (CSC) or Empaneled Hospital:
    • If you are eligible, you can visit your nearest Common Service Center (CSC) or any Ayushman Mitra desk at an empaneled hospital.
