The EPFO portal offers a wide range of services for employees to manage their Provident Fund accounts online.
Your Universal Account Number (UAN) is essential to access most online EPFO services. Activate it first.
Go to the EPFO Member Portal: unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in and click on "Activate UAN".
Enter your UAN, Member ID (if available), Aadhaar number, PAN, Name, Date of Birth, Mobile Number, and Captcha.
Click on "Get Authorization PIN". An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number.
Enter the OTP, agree to the terms, and click "Validate OTP and Activate UAN". You will receive a password on your mobile.
After UAN activation, you can log in to the Member Portal to view your profile, service history, and UAN card.
Enter your UAN, password, and captcha code, then click "Sign In".
Under the 'View' tab, you can access 'Profile' to see your details, 'Service History' for past employments, and 'UAN Card' to download your UAN card.
Your EPF passbook provides a summary of all transactions (deposits & withdrawals) in your PF account.
Enter your UAN, password, and captcha code, then click "Login".
Select the Member ID associated with your UAN for which you want to view the passbook. Click on "View Passbook" or "Download Passbook".
You can raise various claims online, including final settlement (Form 19), pension withdrawal (Form 10C), and partial withdrawal (Form 31).
Go to 'Online Services' > 'Claim (Form-31, 19 & 10C)'.
Verify your bank account number linked with UAN. Select the type of claim you wish to file.
Fill in the required details for the selected claim form. Submit the claim and authenticate using Aadhaar OTP.
Transfer your PF amount from your previous employer to your current employer's account seamlessly online.
Go to 'Online Services' > 'One Member – One EPF Account (Transfer Request)'.
Verify your personal and PF account details. Choose the employer (previous or current) for attesting the claim. Click 'Get OTP'.
Enter the OTP received and submit. You will get a tracking ID. Track the status under 'Online Services' > 'Track Claim Status'.
Keeping your KYC details updated (Aadhaar, PAN, Bank Account) is crucial for seamless online transactions and withdrawals.
Go to 'Manage' > 'KYC'.
Select the document type (Aadhaar, PAN, Bank). Enter the document number and name as per the document. Click 'Save'.
Your employer will approve the KYC details. Once approved, the status will show as "Verified by UIDAI" for Aadhaar.
e-Nomination allows you to declare your nominees online for PF, Pension, and EDLI benefits.
Go to 'Manage' > 'e-Nomination'.
Click 'Yes' to declare family. Add details of family members (Aadhaar, Name, DOB, Relationship, Address). You can add multiple nominees.
Select nominee(s) and allocate share percentage. Click 'E-sign' and authenticate with Aadhaar OTP to complete the process.
Track the status of your submitted PF withdrawal, transfer, or other claims online.
Go to 'Online Services' > 'Track Claim Status'.
The page will display the current status of all your submitted claims.
Get your EPF balance and latest contribution details via SMS or a missed call.
Send an SMS to 7738299899 from your registered mobile number in the format: EPFOHO UAN ENG (for English). Replace ENG with the first three letters of your preferred language (e.g., HIN for Hindi).
Give a missed call to 9966044425 from your UAN registered mobile number. If your UAN is seeded with KYC details (Bank A/C, Aadhaar, PAN), you will receive an SMS with your PF balance and last contribution.
The EPFO portal provides various online services for employers to manage their establishment's PF compliance.
Employers can register their establishment with EPFO online to comply with the EPF & MP Act, 1952.
Go to the Unified Shram Suvidha Portal: registration.shramsuvidha.gov.in and sign up/log in.
Select "Registration For EPFO-ESIC" and then "Apply for New Registration". Choose "Employees' Provident Fund and Miscellaneous Provision Act, 1952".
Fill in all sections of the registration form including establishment details, e-contacts, contact person, identifiers, employee details, branch/division, and activities.
Upload required documents and attach your Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) to complete the registration.
Employers can submit Electronic Challan cum Return (ECR) and make online payments for PF contributions.
Go to the Employer e-Sewa Portal: unifiedportal-emp.epfindia.gov.in and log in.
Upload the Electronic Challan cum Return (ECR) file for the relevant month.
After successful ECR upload, the system will generate a challan based on the uploaded data.
Proceed to make the payment online through Net Banking or by generating a challan for offline payment at designated banks.
The EPFiGMS (Employees' Provident Fund i-Grievance Management System) is an online platform to register and track grievances related to EPFO services.
Go to the EPFiGMS website: epfigms.gov.in and click on "Register Grievance".
Select your status (PF Member, Employer, Pensioner, Other). Enter UAN/PPO No./Establishment No. and security code. Click "Get Details" and then "Get OTP".
Enter personal details, select the PF account number (if applicable), choose grievance category, and provide a detailed description. Upload supporting documents if any.
Click "Submit" to lodge the grievance. You will receive a registration number via email and SMS.
Enter your grievance registration number, grievance password (or mobile/email ID), and security code. Click "Submit".
