Apply for New Driving License
After obtaining a Learning License, you can apply for a Permanent Driving License. This typically involves passing a driving test.
Steps to Apply for New Driving License:
Step 2: Apply for Driving License
Click on 'Driving License Related Services' and then 'Apply for Driving License'.
Step 3: Fill Application Details
Fill in your Learning License number, date of birth, and other required personal details.
Step 4: Upload Documents
Upload scanned copies of necessary documents (e.g., Learning License, Proof of Address, Proof of Age).
Step 5: Book Slot for Driving Test
Book a slot for your driving test at your nearest RTO/DTO office.
Step 6: Complete Driving Test
Appear for the driving test on the scheduled date. Upon successful completion, your Driving License will be processed.
Apply for Learning License
A Learning License is a temporary license issued to individuals who are learning to drive. It is valid for 6 months and allows you to drive with a permanent license holder.
Steps to Apply for Learning License:
Step 2: Apply for Learning License
Click on 'Driving License Related Services' and then 'Apply for Learner License'.
Step 3: Fill Application Form
Fill in all the required personal details, address, and vehicle class.
Step 4: Upload Documents
Upload scanned copies of Proof of Address, Proof of Age, and a passport-sized photograph.
Step 5: Pay Fee
Pay the application fee online. You will receive an application number.
Step 6: Take Learner's Test
Appear for the online or offline learner's test. Upon passing, your Learning License will be generated.
Book DL/LL Slot Appointment
You can book a slot for your Driving License (DL) or Learner's License (LL) test at your nearest RTO/DTO office online.
Steps to Book Appointment:
Step 2: Select Slot Booking
Click on 'Driving License Related Services' and then 'Appointments (Slot Booking)'.
Step 3: Choose State & RTO
Select your respective State and RTO/DTO office.
Step 4: Select Date & Time
Choose your preferred date and time slot from the available options.
Step 5: Confirm Appointment
Confirm your appointment and print the acknowledgment receipt for your records.
Vehicle Registration Services
The Parivahan portal offers various services related to vehicle registration, including new registration, transfer of ownership, and re-registration.
Steps for Vehicle Registration Services:
Step 2: Select Service
Choose the desired service, e.g., 'Apply for New Vehicle Registration', 'Transfer of Ownership', etc.
Step 3: Fill Application Form
Fill in all vehicle and owner details accurately as per the chosen service.
Step 4: Upload Documents
Upload scanned copies of required documents (e.g., Sale Certificate, Insurance, PUC, Address Proof).
Step 5: Pay Fee & Submit
Pay the applicable fees online and submit the application. You will receive an application number.
Print Application Receipt
You can print the receipt of your Driving License or Vehicle Registration application/payment using your application number or transaction ID.
Steps to Print Receipt:
Step 1: Visit Parivahan Portal
Go to the Parivahan Seva portal: parivahan.gov.in (for DL) or vahan.parivahan.gov.in (for Vehicle).
Step 2: Select Print Receipt
Navigate to 'Fee Payments' and then 'Print Application Form / Receipt'.
Step 3: Enter Details
Enter your Application Number / Transaction ID and Date of Birth.
Step 4: Download/Print
Click 'Submit' to view and then download or print your receipt.
Know Your Payment Status
If you have made an online payment for any Parivahan service and want to check its status, you can do so easily.
Steps to Check Payment Status:
Step 2: Select Verify Payment Status
Navigate to 'Online Services' and then 'Verify Payment Status'.
Step 3: Enter Application Details
Enter your Application Number, Date of Birth, and the Captcha code.
Step 4: View Status
Click 'Verify' to see the current status of your payment.

Renewal of Permit
Commercial vehicle permits need to be renewed periodically. This service allows you to apply for the renewal of your vehicle permit online.
Steps for Renewal of Permit:

Step 3: Enter Vehicle Details

Transfer to Dealer

Review and submit the application. An acknowledgment will be generated.
Pay Your Tax
You can pay your vehicle road tax and other related taxes online through the Parivahan portal.
Steps to Pay Tax:

Step 3: Enter Vehicle Details
Enter your vehicle registration number and chassis number.
Step 4: Make Payment
Proceed to make the online payment using your preferred method.
Application for Duplicate RC
If your Registration Certificate (RC) is lost, stolen, or mutilated, you can apply for a duplicate RC online.
Steps for Duplicate RC Application:

Under 'Online Services', select 'Vehicle Related Services' and then 'Application for Duplicate RC'.
Step 3: Fill Application Details
Enter your vehicle registration number, chassis number, and other required details.
